VISITING HOURS

The Hubby went to Santa Maria after work tonight to visit his dad in the hospital. This is day four of his stay following heart arrhythmia (crazy heartbeat). Turns out the heart problems were caused by a nasty infection in his knee that had gone completely unnoticed until it swelled to 3x its normal size yesterday. He had surgery on it today and they will start testing his heart tomorrow. My Dad had the same issue - his Dr. thought he was having heart attack, admitted to hospital, eventually found massive infection in toe, surgery and IV antibiotics cleared it up, heart was fine. Hopefully we will follow the same scenario for The Hubby's Dad.

So get better, Tom. The Girl needs her Grampy healthy.

I went a bit nuts this week. The other moms at the park ignored me while I did a little photo shoot on the picnic table. I don't know why they shunned me. As if they've never photographed Easter candy and toys frolicking?!?! Freaks.

FLOWER POWER

Today is my lazy photo post...

When I had my get-away to Vegas in early October, I spent a day at the Wynn walking around, taking pictures and gambling (mostly gambling). The vibe and the decor at the Wynn are both terrific. It is just a stunning hotel & casino. They have awesome umbrella lights suspended in a two-story atrium. And a two story window with a view of their rock wall waterfall and babbling lake. They have a light show sort of thing too. But the best, best, best part is the repeated patterns of flowers, vines and leaves. They were everywhere from the carpeting, mosaic tile on the floors, ceiling relief, soffets, indoor garden, fake trees with flower balls. Frickin everywhere, frickin beautiful. Go if you have a chance.

Here is The Girl looking rather adorable for her 3-year-old portraits. This is before I took her for the worst haircut ever at Super Cuts. You will not see any new pictures of her until it grows out. For future reference, just pay the extra 10 bucks at the kids' hair salon. It will save you on therapy in the long run.
