FRICKIN' UTI

It's back. The Girl started to scream again when she had to pee. Ugh. That means another trip to the Dr., another Rx, another couple days of discomfort for her. Double ugh. And grrrrr. I just hope she doesn't have to get a bunch of tests and poked and prodded. Just make it better, please. Send positive vibes our way.

My little one used to get UTI's when she was little, apparently because she was wiping back to front rather than front to back. Have you tried getting her to switch if that's what she's doing? I'll never forget the time when I took my girl to her doctor for yet another UTI, and she was examined for signs of sexual abuse. I wasn't sure whether to be horrified or offended. Hope it clears up soon.

I took her to the nurse practitioner that same day and she said her daughter had a similar problem when she was The Girl's age. Seems she is just very sensitive to soap, wipes, etc. No UTI, thank gawd. But jeebus crisps, I really don't want to hear that shrieking/screaming again. So we have switched to showers every other day and looks like things are much better. Knock on wood.
