TURKEY DAY REVIEW

I forgot to post that Thanksgiving went swimmingly. The hubby was wonderful and finished cleaning the bathroom before the guests arrived. My MIL and sis both brought side dishes that were yummy. My Dad slipped me $20 as his donation to the festivities (love him). Both families blended well. And The Girl took her nap from 1-3:30, sleeping through the dinner portion of the gathering, ensuring I could eat the meal while it was still hot.

Best part - I was rather tipsy. Fun. At one point my mother-in-law needed help finding the defrost setting on the microwave. When I leaned over to figure out the keypad, the pattern of protective(?) dots on the door sort of freaked me out. I couldn't adjust my eyes from the weird pattern to the keypad so I cussed (of course). Then I covered the door with one hand, turning my head slightly to avert my eyes from the melee of dots, and used the other hand to punch in the magic combination of numbers. Oh sweet Jesus, Malibu & Diet Coke is just soooo good. 4 Malibu & Cokes + 3 glasses of chardonnay = a really relaxed Thanksgiving.

I must still be hung over cause I thought the first photo was taken by Grace in her chair ;o) Congrats on surviving! No regrets on the bean casserole... that's one dish that sucks the next day.

I miss your cute house! Aargh. I'm trying to make my cookie cutter number into something special and I keep your kitchen in mind as inspiration.

That sounds like a truly ideal Thanksgiving--can't tell which part I envy most, though the husband who cleans the bathroom may be tops for me.
