BIG GIRL BED

Grace’s “big-girl bed” (toddler bed) is set up in our room, next to our bed. Unfortunately she still only thinks of it as a nice place to visit for jumping activities or to sit and read a book. She does, however, know that the cat should not sleep on the toddler bed and tells her, “No, no Ammie!” with a wagging finger. BTW the cat's name is Annie, but Ammie is Grace’s interpretation. The phrase ‘Not on my big-girl bed’ is sometimes added, so the discussion goes something like: “No, no Ammie. No bug-a-buh.” All the while wagging her finger and looking sternly at the cat. The cat of course ignores her.
