My fabulous friend Vonnie was here last week and I had so much fun with her. Even when we were doing dumb stuff like weighing her luggage to make sure it would make the weight limit for the flight, we had fun. Just having her here made me happy. I miss having girlfriends just around the corner. And I mean the best-friends-forever (bff) kind of girlfriends. The kind that will tell you that your new hair color makes you look old. I honestly feel socially retarded because I don't have enough girl chat. Thank gawd I still have my Fri. Mommy group at the park. We can chat about our new pants or husbands or potty training or how we just want to get laid or drunk or pregnant. But it's not the same as when I had a support group that needed me as much as I needed them.
Damn the midwest and Los Angeles and the state of Oregon. If they weren't there, it would be easier to make a quick visit to my BFF girlfriends. Guess blogging and the park will have to do for now. Of course I could do something really daring...make some new friends. Nahhhh. Then I would have to go through the whole dead mother, I love Zoloft, former PR guru, extended breastfeeding, sweet but giant husband story. And that just makes me even more tired.

It goes both ways girlie... you have no idea how much harder it is to leave everytime I come home and see you and your wonderful family that I consider my family too. Miss you more ~ xoxox V
