Just shy of two (July 30!), The Girl is cracking me up with her vocabulary. She talks A LOT. Her counting skills consist of 1, 3, 2, 6, 7. Her alphabet is A, B, C, F, G. She also likes to sing the Sesame Street theme song slightly off key, warbling "Sunny day..." and that's all she knows. Gregg sings The Lion Sleeps Tonight when they go for bike rides, so she sings "...jungle, lion sleeps night." She replaces the word lion with bunny or baby or whatever animal she is playing with at the time.
This morning while she was eating Tiger Cereal and a banana for breakfast she had her little dolly on the tray of her highchair. She covered her with her napkin and then picked her up, hugged her and said, "It's ok, mamma's got you." *melts*
